On behalf of the World Newah Organization (WNO), we thank you for coming together on 25th-27th March, 2016 to make the Second World Newah Convention a grand success. We hope you found the conference in Baltimore as informative and worthwhile as we did. The primary goal of this meeting was to gather Newah people from around the world into one place to unite in supporting our language, culture, and identity—and we definitely met that goal!
Our diverse and dynamic group of presenters provided great insights on a wide range of relevant topics, and we had a good time while enjoying an amazing array of events—from the opening procession to the closing ceremony, from the cultural program, fashion show, and film show to the Newah bhoye, meditation retreat, and exhibits, all the time networking and meeting amazing people from around the globe. Your presence made this event memorable and a huge success, and your enthusiasm and positive spirit kept our time together productive and fun.
The success of this convention was thanks to the efforts of many different organizations and individuals. We are especially appreciative of local co-hosts Nepa Pasa Pucha Amerikaye – NPPA (Mrs. Saroj Prajapati, president and the team) and Newah Organization of America – NOA (Mr. Ram Shrestha, president and the team) for their sincere dedication in planning the event. We thank the families involved in those groups for attending and joining us to help everything run smoothly.
