WNO North American Regional Conference-Announcement

Respected Guthiyars, Community Members, Family and Friends,

Jwojalappa! It is our immense pleasure to inform you that Canadian Newa Guthi (CNG) and Newa Cultural Society of Alberta (NSCA) have officially decided to jointly host the first World Newah Organization (WNO) North American Regional Conference in Mississauga, Canada. The conference will be held September 1–3, 2017 (Labour Day long weekend)  नेपाल सम्बत११३७, ञलागा दशमी शुक्रवाः निसें द्वादशी आइतवाः  in collaboration with WNO. This conference will be a follow up to the 2nd WNO conference held in Baltimore, USA in March 2016.
The main objective of this conference is to unite Newah people living within the North American continent and abroad in order to promote and preserve Newah cultural heritage (culture, traditions, language, arts, cuisine, attire, etc.) for current and future Newah generations.  Thus, the theme chosen for this conference is “Uniting North American Newahs.”
We would appreciate it if you could circulate information about the conference to family, friends, and relatives within Canada and abroad at your earliest convenience. All are welcome! Your kind assistance is highly appreciated.  In addition, we cordially invite you to visit us at www.canadiannewaguthi.org to register yourself and any family members who can attend. Please register no later than August 15, 2017 to secure a spot!

We are seeking planning and event volunteers to help with registration, culture program arrangements, publications (computer), and collection of advertisements starting in August through the first week of September 2017. All volunteers will get credit hours for hours worked once the conference is concluded.
