World Newah Organization (WNO) is pleased to inform you that in collaboration with WNONepal chapter and the Central Department of Nepal Bhasha (CDNB) at Tribhuvan University in announcing a global conference on Newah heritage with focus on concerns and issues in various disciplinary relating to Newah heritage not limited to language, art,culture, history, economics, religion, as well as issues of identity and awareness as Newah. The two days conference will be held in Kathmandu to mark the World Newah Day on March 30-31, 2018, Friday and Saturday.
WNO’s recent executive meeting held on the first Saturday of July 2017 unanimously decided to declare the last Saturday of March as the World Newah Day. To mark the auspicious day WNO invites Newah scholars and scholars on Newah studies around the world for participation in this ever held Newah conference.
This is the first announcement. Your participation is highly appreciated and WNO requests you to send in the Abstract by November 30th, 2017. The acceptance of abstract notice will be sent out by Dec 31, 2017.
The Venue information and other logistics will be attached with second notification.
Final acceptance of Abstract is January 31st, 2018 Program schedule will be sent out by February 28th, 2018
A hard copy of program and Abstract of the presentation will be made available on the first day of Program.
