On the last Saturday of March every year, Newah individuals and organizations observe World Newah Day as a common day in honour of their Newah roots irrespective of their different geographic locations, religious beliefs, nationalities around the world, and the various castes and sub-castes within the Newah community. This year, the 6th World Newah Day was observed on Saturday 25th March 2023 and the following week.
Newah people spread around the world do something that represents their Newah culture and proudly show it to the rest of the world to raise awareness about the greatness of their culture. They prepare and eat Newah food, sing or dance to Newah songs, watch Newah movies, read Newah books, play Newah games, or do anything that is convenient or possible for them to do from where they are in the world. They also share your photos of the World Newah Day celebration on social media, using the hashtag #WorldNewahDay
